JV UPDATE: 4/23/12

Londonderry JV Lancers finish the week 2-1

The JV team finished the week 2-1 behind strong pitching by Matt Nolan. Nolan pitched in two games picking up the win in both appearances.
The week started off with a win over Dover behind a great offensive out burst from the Lancers. Alex Forgues lead the way with 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Classmate Jordan Tutt also chipped in with 2 hits and 2 RBIs to help the Lancers out hit the Dover Green Wave on route to a 16-11 win.

The Lancers were held to only 5 hits against Keene. Mike Vitale took the loss as the Lancers lost to the Keene BlackBirds 10-4. Vitale did not receive much help from his defense as the Lancers combined for 8 errors during the game. Offensively Vitale lead the way with 2 hits for the visiting Lancers. Geoff Kayo, Tom Corey and Alex Forgues all contributed a hit a piece.

Matt Nolan pitched a complete game 7 hitter allowing just 1 run while striking out 4 to help the Lancers finish out their week with a 5-1 win over the visiting Winnacunnet Warriors. Mike Vitale, Stephen Wong and Colby Joncas lead the Lancers offensively with 2 hits a piece. Wong and Joncas also each chipped in with 2 RBIs. The Lancer defense played an errorless game behind Nolan as the Lancers improved their overall record to 2-3.

The Londonderry JV Lancers will be back in action next Wednesday 11 am at Nashua High School South.
